Jet Tern Marine have been building classic trawler yachts since 1999 and more than 400 boats are cruising the world now. A new production facility is in progress which includes production halls and a marina. Parts of the new dock are already functional and when fully open the shipyard will have capacity for 100 yachts per year.
Selene Yachts Ocean Explorer
Jet Tern Marine recently introduced the Ocean Explorer range. This range is a modern-style version of the very successful trawler, but with the looks of a stylish luxury yacht. The design uses the same hull moulds as it’s classic siblings, with design modifications. The new range was designed by the Dutch naval architect, Guido de Groot in conjunction with Jet Tern CEO, Howard Chen. You will notice the Explorer models are rounded and smooth on the outside, and loaded with modern open-plan interior designs and cabinetry. Not surprisingly, the Ocean Explorer is proving very popular too! Technically it’s identical to the classic equivalent and feels at home equally in the marinas of Monte Carlo or the waves of the Pacific Ocean.
The new Selene Yachts Ocean Explorer model can be built from the 60 (65ft LOA) to a 92 (92ft LOA). Jet Tern also designed a 98 model (92ft LOA) specifically for offshore fishing. They also have other larger projects on the drawing board! So if you have your own idea for your boat, Jet Tern can build it just for you! Selene Yachts can be built to Class (American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, Det Norske Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd, Lloyd’s Register, and RINA) as required.
